Welcome to Yardofthesale.com
Yardofthesale.com is a website that allows you to follow me to yard sales, thrift stores and flea markets to find out how easy it can be to make lots of extra money on any budget. Yardsaling is one of the most fun Saturday morning hobbies that exists today. Not only does it give you the ability to acquire items for yourself at deep discounts there is the extra opportunity to take those finds and sell them to someone else for a profit.
On the Recent Finds page you can view the latest items I have acquired at either a yard sale, flea market, thrift store or local auction. On each page you will learn a little about the item followed by tips & tricks about the specific genre of item as it relates to a newcomer to the yardsaling for profit scene. My goal with each posting is to educate the reader on what to look for, what not to look for or how to approach buying a particular type of item.
I also have a page dedicated to both widely and seldom known material on how to host your own yard sale. You will learn the ins and outs on how to find items to sell, prepare your tables, price your items, negotiate with buyers and even how to advertise your sale so the most people come to your yard sale Saturday morning!
Our latest addition to the site is a forum style page that allows users to identify odd items they find at yard sales. If you find something that you are unsure of but just can’t leave the sale without it, visit our Identify Your Item page and we will help as best we can to identify it for you! Other users of the site can also chime in with their ideas. Please read the first post in the forum which will direct you on some best posting practices to best help us identify your find.
I hope you enjoy everything this site has to offer. I plan to add new content as quickly as I can so you can learn and just have fun seeing what I find on my travels. If you have any questions or want to contact me for any reason please feel free to visit the Contact Us page. Once you are there fill out the form with your contact information and correspondence and once you submit the form I will be emailed directly. I respond to all inquiries no matter how small!
